Property Taxes and Tax Exemptions

The Ardencroft Association collects land rent from each leaseholder in the Village of Ardencroft. The Association takes a portion of the land rent to pay New Castle County property taxes each year for all land within the Village of Ardencroft.

New Castle County offers partial property tax exemptions to some taxpayers who are disabled or over 65. Ardencroft residents can see if they qualify and apply for the tax exemption here. Once an exemption is granted to a leaseholder, it remains in effect for perpetuity.

The leaseholder granted an exemption then needs to notify the Administrative Assistant of the Ardencroft Association: cris.larson@ardencroftassociation.org. The Association will then reduce the land rent for the exempted parcel for the succeeding years.
