Elections

The Village of Ardencroft committee and officer elections are held in May. We seek at least one more candidate than we have open seats in any position to provide a choice for voters. Those willing to run are asked to contact the Coordinating Committee at coordinating@ardencroft.delaware.gov.

Chris Raia

I’m an industrial and graphic designer, and have lived in Ardencroft for 13 years with my wife and two (now teenage!) children.

My career led me to institutional architecture, so I have been able to contribute to the Village through Public Works and other initiatives where construction, signage, and graphics play a role. I designed our Village logo in 2023.

Roberta Brandão

Born in Brazil and proud to call the U.S. home as a dual citizen, I have been a member of this community for just over three years. My background spans digital media design, animation, and STEAM education — a career built around creativity, technology, and a deep belief in human-centered design. But outside of my professional life, I am an avid gardener and, most recently, a licensed flower and microgreens farmer, believed to be the first in our municipality. Whether I am tending to my garden or designing a learning experience for students, I am always driven by curiosity, collaboration, and a genuine care for the world around me.

My gardening practice is grounded in regenerative, organic, and sustainable methods, and I have hands-on experience cultivating native plants that attract beneficial insects and birds, as well as efficiently removing invasive species such as bamboo and ivy. As a small-scale farmer, I stay current on sustainable growing practices and bring that knowledge directly to the soil. Beyond horticulture, my background in human-centered design means I approach community challenges thoughtfully — listening first, then collaborating to find solutions that work for everyone. I would love to bring that same spirit of care and intention to helping our neighborhood become a greener, more sustainable place for all.

Rob Stigler

I was born and raised in Ardentown, and decided I never wanted to leave! I now live in Ardencroft with my wife, Tiffany, 3 year old daughter Renee, and our dog Hendrix.

Before getting into real estate about 14 years ago, I worked various jobs in the trades, including Jaguar mechanic, roofing, handyman/carpentry, and site development/stormwater management. I also coach the Arden Sharks swim team, and serve on the board of directors for Arden Building & Loan.

I moved to Ardencroft with my husband in 2023. I enjoy volunteering for various events around town like the Arden Faire and Dinner Guild. You can usually find me in the woods walking my dog Flare and enjoying the nature around town.

I’m friendly and personaable. I have a deep appreciateion for the Ardencroft community. One of my favorite memories of moving here was being greeted and receiving my welcome packet from Linda, and I would love to be part of that tradition.

Vaughn Byarm

My wife, Kim, and I moved to Ardencroft in 2023 and quickly came to appreciate its beautiful natural surroundings. I currently serve on the Safety Committee, which I initially joined out of a sense of responsibility to the community and because my frequent trail walks gave me firsthand awareness of safety concerns. After much consideration, I am shifting my attention to the Environment Committee, where I feel I can best contribute. I love the outdoors and science, and I would be honored to help care for our woodlands while learning more about plant science and environmental stewardship.

My interests and skills are rooted in a genuine appreciation for the outdoors and for environmental stewardship. I frequently walk the trails, which gives me regular firsthand awareness of trail conditions and woodland needs. I enjoy plant science and am eager to continue learning more. I also bring practical outdoor skills, including the ability to use a chainsaw to clear fallen dead trees from trails when appropriate. I believe these interests and skills would allow me to contribute both thoughtfully and hands-on to the committee.

I walk my dog and go for runs around the Ardens daily allowing me to see potential safety issues as they arise.
