We need to ensure we have the volunteers to plant ~50 trees. Davey Tree will be prepping for and planting ~150 trees Wednesday-Friday, ahead of our volunteer event.

Come plant a tree and make a memory in Ardencroft! 

Saturday, Nov 9 from 10:00-2:00 at Beech Lane playground (1502 Beech Lane, Wilmington, DE. 19810)

Ardencroft is receiving 200 trees from the TEDI tree grant, and 50 of those trees will be planted by community members. Join us for our community planting day and light refreshments on Saturday, Nov 9 from 10:00-2:00 at Beech Lane playground.  All are welcome!  Bring gloves and shovels if you have them!

When you plant your tree, you’ll measure it, hang a little tag with your name on it, and we’ll take a photo of you in front of the tree!  Throughout the coming year, you can visit your tree, talk to it, water it, and give it lots of hugs.  Next November, we’ll have another gathering to measure the trees, remove the tags, and see how tall the trees have grown!  The person who planted the tree that has increased the most in height gets  “Tree Planter Extraordinaire” bragging rights!
