11/17/2025Create the ArdensReady Liaison CommitteeThe Ardencroft ArdensReady Committee of three members shall be formed to act as a liaison for Ardencroft. At least one member must be Cert Trained and a current active member of the ArdensReady Committee.
11/17/2025Donate to the ArdensReady OrganizationArdencroft shall support the three Ardens’ ArdensReady Committee with an annual donation of $200. This is to support the Emergency Preparedness of the three Ardens’ ArdensReady Committee and its outreach, printing, annual Open House program, and miscellaneous expenses.

Permit Temporary
Authority
The Environment Committee have authority to approve tree removal
permits, despite the current ordinance giving that authorization to
Public Works, until such time as the Public Works specification is
removed from the current Tree Removal ordinance.

5/16/2024Trash ContractWhereas a committee with representatives from each of the three
Ardens has conducted a thorough procurement process and
selected a preferred waste services vendor, the Village of Ardencroft
shall enter into a three-year contract with the chosen vendor,
Evergreen Waste Services, to commence upon the conclusion of the
current Trash Tech/SEM services.
1/18/2024State Road Speed Limit Reduction and SignageThe implementation of the following Ardens Transportation Plan
items is approved: Reducing the Veale Road speed limit from 35 mph to 25 mph from Marini’s and St. Edmonds to Harvey Road in both directions. Introducing signage on Harvey Rd displaying the 25 mph speed limit at the CSX train tracks overpass as you enter the Ardens from Claymont.

The Connecting with the Ardens Transportation Plan is approved in concept, understanding that further approval of individual projects will undergo evaluation and approval by the Village Assembly, considering funding, respect for the leasehold agreements and leaseholders, compatibility with the historic nature and designation of the Village, and environmental issues important to the village.
7/21/2022Rename Park on Sunset LnThe village park on Sunset Ln, formerly named after Buzz Ware, is now Pauline A. Young Park.
7/21/2022Install Sign at ParkThe village will install an interpretive sign at Pauline A. Young Park with a brief bio and photograph of Ms. Young.

A summary of Robert’s Rules, either by web link or condensed printed format shall be included by the Registration Committee in welcome packets for new residents.

Therefore, the Village pledges its support for working towards racial justice and for solidarity with all people of color, both within our community and in the larger culture.
